Twenty providers will now take a share of the funds - twice the number of groups originally eligible for the $50,000 "Business Investment Package" grants.
Minister for Disability Joy Burch said businesses could use the grants to hire consultants as well as implement reforms and infrastructure improvements.
Some organisations, such as the Cerebral Palsy Alliance, will use the funds to help expand their services, such as into early intervention.
The funding for the grants is through the $12.5 million provided to the ACT through the Commonwealth government’s National Sector Development Fund.
The NDIS will come into place in the ACT from July 1.
