Road authorities have warned drivers to add on about 50 minutes to their travel time if using the Kings Highway to get to Batemans Bay on Saturday.
NSW Roads and Maritime Services issued a warning about 11am Saturday morning, saying there were long queues of traffic eastbound coming into north Batemans Bay.
They warned the queues were stretching as far as 7.5km.
That alert was still current as at 2.50pm.
The heavy traffic comes after a serious crash caused delays on the Kings Highway on Friday.
A Honda Civic sedan left the highway east of Braidwood, smashing into a tree.
Four people were inside the car, and two occupants, including a five-year-old girl, were hospitalised with serious injuries.
They were first taken to Braidwood Hospital, before the young girl was taken to Canberra Hospital.
The girl is now in a stable condition, and police say they are continuing to investigate the crash.
There have also been a number of drink drivers caught in Batemans Bay on Saturday.
The first, a 36-year-old P-plate driver was stopped for a random breath test on Crown Street just after midnight, and returned a blood-alcohol reading of .036.
A woman was caught an hour and a half later on North Street, returning a blood-alcohol reading of .102 at Batemans Bay police station following a random breath test.
