Canberra Airport told customers via Twitter heavy winds in Sydney have affected flights across the network on Friday.

"Due to weather conditions in Sydney some flights across the network may be impacted. Please contact your airline for further details," the tweet read.
It echoed a tweet from Sydney Airport, which also blamed weather conditions for flight delays.
The Canberra Airport website shows multiple cancellations throughout the day but it is unclear if they are all related to the weather.
A Canberra Airport spokesperson told customers to contact their airlines with the airport's Facebook page, directing customers to this link to help them find airline contact details.
"Sydney Airport is experiencing strong wind conditions and as a result is operating one runway. This is having an impact across the network as some flights are affected," the spokesperson said.
"Airlines have taken the proactive step to reduce the number of flights to and from Sydney and have provided their customers with updates on the relevant flights affected."
Heavy winds have buffeted Sydney, with 106 km/h gusts recorded at the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Damage caused by winds temporarily halted trains on the bridge while planes had been grounded at Sydney Airport.
