Their lives began crammed in a box and dumped in Canberra's north but on Sunday passersby assumed the lively dogs frolicking at Weston Park were attending an obedience class.

Instead, the six puppies were reuniting for the first time since January, when they were dumped in Higgins and rescued by the RSPCA.
One of the nine puppies found in the box was so badly beaten it had to be put down immediately.
Almost 10 months after the ordeal, six of the nine brothers and sisters sniffed each other out, some reluctant at first and others brimming with confidence.
Michelle Black, who owns Effie, brought her family down to meet the other puppies.
The Higgins resident said the experience was overwhelming.
"I can't get over how big some of them are," she said.
"They're all different sizes but you can definitely tell they're from the same litter by their colouring and everything."
Effie, who seemed to assert herself as top dog among her siblings, also had a ball.
"She's very excited, she loves playing with the other dogs," Ms Black said.
Bonner's Chrystal Earle said her dog, Milo, was also excited to meet his brothers and sisters.
"It's funny, you see little similarities between them all," she said.
"It's awesome to see everyone, to see how they all ended up, how big they ended up."
Ms Earle said she was looking for another dog when she heard the litter's story.
Milo had transformed since he was adopted at the beginning of the year.
"He's got an abundance of confidence," she said.
"When we first got him he was shy, quiet, sat in the corner. Now he's a completely different dog."
Scherie McMillan and her family adopted Haymitch after purchasing a 150-acre property in Bredbo.
Shortly after her children Jeremy, 15 and Hayley, 13 also fell in love with another rescue dog, Martina.
She said the two got along swimmingly, while Haymitch enjoyed being the centre of attention.
"I guess he was a little bit timid if one of the kids yelled or made a loud noise [at first], otherwise, really friendly," she said.
"He just wanted to be sitting on top of someone at any point of time - he still does that today. He's got a beautiful nature."
Deakin's Michael Will said his family's dog, Missy, was still a little standoffish around other people, initially checking them out from a distance.
But Missy loved other dogs, including her furry companion, Jonah, a black labrador who was also rescued.
"She loves him, she doesn't leave him alone," Mr Will said
Joey Ambrus and Adam Wells share a similar adoption tale.
The pair and their respective partners adopted Proton and Alice shortly after moving to Canberra.
Mr Ambrus, who lives in Kambah, said he and his wife were looking for a puppy when Proton became available.
"I think he was a bit skittish and a bit standoffish when he was young but he's sort of grown to be comfortable with us and he's more of a people person now," he said.
"He definitely likes to get out and around with people."
Alice was in her element with other dogs, despite being a little overwhelmed at first at Sunday's reunion.
Mr Wells, who lives in Chifley, said Alice was still a little timid but had come on in leaps and bounds since January.
"She now just needs to be friends with everyone, especially at the dog park," he said.
"There's a lot of similarities [with her siblings] but I think she may be the biggest muppet."
