A Palmerston man has been charged after vision posted on Facebook showed him performing burnouts.
A man who posted a video of himself on Facebook doing burnouts in Mitchell has been charged by police, after officers tracked down the vision online.
On January 21, police received a complaint about a red Holden Commodore performing burnouts in Baillieu Court Mitchell.
Later that same day, police saw footage on Facebook of a vehicle fitting the same description, with the footage posted by the registered owner of the vehicle to his Facebook account.
Police subsequently identified the vehicle, and it was seized by officer.
A 21-year-old Palmerston man has been charged, and is due in ACT Magistrates Court on March 212.
On Tuesday night, police seized a white Holden Commodore ute after the driver performed a burnout in Benjamin Way, Belconnen. This driver has been summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
