Organisers are encouraging visitors to use public transport or park at the Parliamentary triangle, Canberra Theatre or Constitution Avenue car parks and walk to Floriade from there.
Alternatively the Canberra Centre is running a free shuttle bus across the whole long weekend.
Spokeswoman for Floriade, Adelina La Vita said the full car parks were due to the large crowds.
“Over the last two long weekends we have seen big crowds especially as the weather has been good” said Ms La Vita.
The themed events such as ‘family fun week’ during the school holidays have been popular with families.
“Many families have travelled to see Bindie Irwin’s presentations at the Inspiration Hub today,” said Ms La Vita
“Don’t park illegally and risk spoiling your long weekend with a parking ticket,” she said.
