The Canberra Liberals will not announce the shadow cabinet until Monday, just one day before the Assembly returns.
Leader Zed Seselja’s front benchers will be confirmed in their shadow portfolios less than 24 hours before debate begins in the Assembly Chamber.
The opposition declined to comment on Thursday about the delay in confirming the composition of its front bench team.
The role of ‘interim’ Opposition Whip has been taken by Jeremy Hanson who has been handling negotiations on Assembly business with Government Whip Mick Gentleman.
