Local WWI artefacts, including the original honour board from the Majura Hall and certificates and medallions presented to departing soldiers, have found a permanent home at the Canberra Museum and Art Gallery in Civic.

The objects were gifted by Kevin and Sue McIntosh on Thursday.
Mr McIntosh is the nephew of Arnold Arthur McIntosh, one of the five soldiers commemorated on the honour roll.
Arnold McIntosh, who served with the 26th Battery, 7th Field Artillery, was gassed near Messines in France in June 1917.
"I felt pretty bad for a couple of days, but I am glad to say that I am as good as ever I was, and expect to be back at the battery in a couple of weeks time," he told his mother in a telegram a few days later.
Arnold (aka Arnie) McIntosh died in 1934, at least partly as a result of complications arising from the gas attack. He had endured a hard war having been hospitalised again in September 1917 with injuries to his thigh and abdomen caused by the recoil from a gun.
Arriving back in Australia in 1919, the former gunner became a soldier settler, taking up a block he called "Macville" in 1920.
Thursday's presentation, which was attended by ACT Arts Minister Joy Burch, was held in conjunction with the launch of a French language education resource developed for Australian schools.
'Exploring WWI: Learning French with the soldiers' was developed by Alliance Francaise and launched by the French ambassador, Christophe Lecourtier.
"[It] communicates the experiences of the French during WWI and recognises every grand narrative is created from the sum of individual stories," Ms Burch said.

Mr McIntosh said the artefacts gifted to the gallery had come to him in a roundabout way.
His uncle, "old Arnie", had had one son, "young Arnie", who died in intestate in 1983.
"We contacted the public trustee and said we would be interested in any family photographs and memorabilia," he said.
"We eventually received a box containing the honour board and the other material. We have treasured it ever since."
Mr McIntosh said because the board and the other information was of regional importance the family believed it should be shared with the public.
"We contacted the Canberra Museum and Gallery and were very happy with how the said they would conserve and display it."
Other pieces in the collection include a certificate presented to Arnold McIntosh by the Queanbeyan community on his return home and a gold medallion presented to him by the Queanbeyan Red Cross.
The other soldiers named on the honour roll are Thomas Harman Cooper (killed), Albert Henry Harman, Thomas Harman and James Harman.
James Harman re-enlisted and served in WWII.
