A man armed with a knife robbed a service station in Canberra's north Tuesday morning.

Police said the man, aged in his 20s, was carrying a green shopping bag when he entered the Kaleen Caltex service station about 1.55am.
He threatened the console operator with a knife and demanded cash.
The employee complied with the demands before the man left the store with a small sum of money.
The offender is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his early to mid-20s, approximately 183cm tall, with a slim build. He was wearing a black hooded jumper.
No one was injured during the armed robbery.
