An investigation began after the Higgins Food Works supermarket was robbed by a man with a knife on Monday, November 12 at about 10.30am.
Police released CCTV images to the media, and received an anonymous tip-off about the incident. As a result, a 21-year-old Charnwood man attended the Woden Police Station on Sunday, and was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of aggravated robbery with an offensive weapon.
"This arrest was the result of police and the community working together, as an anonymous tip-off from a member of the public identified the offender. Your phone call or online report to Crime Stoppers could be the piece of information police need to make an arrest," Detective Superintendent Brett McCann said.
The alleged offender will face the ACT Magistrates Court this morning, where police will oppose bail.
