A 26-year-old man has had his licence suspended for allegedly travelling at 80 kilometres over the speed limit on the Hume Highway at Goulburn.

The man had his red provisional license suspended and number plates seized after he was stopped by highway patrol officers at 5.30pm on Friday.
Police will allege he was travelling 170 kilometres in a sign-posted 90km/h zone.
The man was issued with an infringement notice for exceeding the speed limit by more than 45 kilometres per hour.
