A man who allegedly robbed a Canberra chemist at knifepoint, stealing prescription drugs and cash, has appeared in court charged with aggravated robbery.

Adam Anastasi, 28, is accused of robbing the Capital Chemist in Higgins on Tuesday, about 11am.
He is accused of threatening staff with a black-handled kitchen knife.
Anastasi allegedly demanded drugs from the chemist safe and money, before making off with oxycontin and valium, among other drugs, and $353 cash.
Anastasi is from near Batemans Bay and was arrested by ACT police about 1.45am on Wednesday.
He appeared before Magistrate Beth Campbell on Wednesday afternoon without a lawyer.
Ms Campbell gave him the option of seeking legal advice before making a bail application.
His case was put over for a week to allow him to seek representation by Legal Aid.
