Police are investigating a crash in the early hours of Friday morning in which a man was pulled out of the wreckage after his car hit a guard barrier in Canberra.

At about 2am, ACT Policing Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team officers responded to a report of a crash involving a car travelling south on Vernon Circle.
Crews from ACT Fire and Rescue and ACT Ambulance Service found the man had hit a barrier between Vernon Circle and Commonwealth Avenue Bridge.
Crews from ACT Emergency Services spokesman said ACT Fire and Rescue had to cut the man from his car.
His leg was fractured and ambulance worked to stabilise him before he was taken to Canberra Hospital.
On Friday morning, an ACT Health spokeswoman said they did not have the man's permission to provide an update to his condition.
