Police will allege Garry John Miller, 54 of Deakin, produced a document that "falsely represented" to a home owner that Mr Fluffy asbestos had been found.
Miller was summonsed to appear in court on Thursday.
His lawyer Jacob Robertson mentioned the case before Magistrate Peter Dingwall on Thursday morning.
The case was simply adjourned for three weeks, until early June. Miller was not present in court.
The man will be charged with producing a false or misleading document.
