If the pyrotechnics expert is not firing them into the air, he is working for them.
This year he toured with the rock band Kiss.
He organised all their on-stage fireworks as well as other special effects, including the tonne of dry ice the band uses for some of its shows.
For the past few years Mr Brady has engineered the New Year's Eve fireworks display in Canberra and within days he will again be shooting fireworks up to 250 metres into the air over Civic.
''I was very happy to see some rain last night,'' the 44-year-old said on Friday.
''I like to see things nice and green.''
Weather reports suggest Tuesday will be a cracker of a day with a forecast of mostly sunny and a maximum temperature of 29 degrees.
The two fireworks displays are scheduled for 9pm and midnight.
Both will be the same size so families who want to go home early will not miss out.
Adelina La Vita of Events ACT said those attending the family concert in Civic Square will have the best seats in the house to view the two fireworks shows, which will launch from City Hill and the roof of the Canberra Theatre Centre.
"The displays will feature new patterns such as an octopus and a smiling face with winking eye, as well as fireworks inspired by dragons and even a spaceship," Ms La Vita said. "The fireworks have also been digitally synchronised to two brilliant soundtracks featuring an exciting compilation of 2013 hits," she added.
The free family concert in Civic Square will feature performances by legendary Australian rock band You Am I, The Voice star Alex Gibson and local seven-piece band Tuchasoul.
From 9pm, the Bass in the Place dance party will get Garema Place crowds grooving with Adelaide electronic act Uberjak'd and a great line up of local DJs.
