Two medium-density residential blocks and one mixed-use space would hold a collective 169 units in Moncrieff under separate development applications lodged with the Environment and Planning Directorate.
The largest of the blocks, zoned for mixed-use between Mirrabei Drive and Jimmy Little Street, will hold 86 terraced units and possible commercial space if the application is approved.
The $15 million project would incorporate four blocks made up of 43 three-bedroom units, 36 two-bedroom units and seven one-bedroom units.
The other two development applications, confined to lots zoned for medium-density residential use, have proposed 44 units and 39 units each.
Sitting on either side of Mirrabei Drive near the planned centre of Moncrieff, the blocks are down the road from areas slated for group or community centres.
The 39-unit development would comprise 24 two-bedroom units and 15 three-bedroom units, while the 44-unit proposal includes 20 two-bedroom and 24 three-bedroom units, though five will be adaptable.
The block on which the 44-unit block was proposed fetched $4.05 million at auction in August, while the 86-unit development block reached $5.6 million at the same time.
The 39-unit block was sold at an earlier auction in February for $3.1 million alongside several other multi-unit blocks.
Sales of blocks in the suburb, which is expected to include about 2200 dwellings, are wrapping up.
The final 77 available single residential blocks sold in the last release in November, with all snapped up within three minutes.
The cheapest block in that lot sold for $206,000 while the most expensive sold for $335,000.
Finding a place to live in the suburb is expected to prove popular with music fans in future, with the government announcing this month that streets in Moncrieff will be named after deceased Australian musicians.
Land releases for some 266 further multi-unit dwellings are scheduled for Moncrieff this year and into 2017.
Public comment on the 39-unit proposal has closed, but the applications for the 86-unit and 44-unit applications close on February 9 and 11 respectively, while land clearing has begun on some of the first sites released.
The plans for both proposals can be seen on the ACT Environment and Planning website.
