Murrumbateman's Four Winds Vineyard has raised $21,635 within a month to build more production space after giving crowdfunding a go when they worked themselves out of all of their sangiovese.

The vineyard sold out of the variety, and are nearly out of riesling, so needed more red wine fermenting space before the next vintage.
The money will go towards water tanks, putting down the concrete pad, building the structure, and other construction work, so the vineyard can meet the increased demand.
Four Winds winemaker and part-owner, Bill Crowe, said local connoisseurs were "predominantly" the ones driving the overwhelming appetite for more of their plonk.
"It's probably an even split between Canberra and Sydney, we are in a few places in the Canberra market, at a few bottle shops. That being said we get people from all over Australia and the odd tour group.
Patrons could pledge anything from $5, for a spot on a "thank you" board at the site, to $3000 for a private 40-person cellar door party as well as three dozen special Four Winds crowdfunding bottles.
Mr Crowe said he was "a little surprised" by their enthusiasm.
"Look I was a bit surprised, I'd never seen one of these crowdfunding things and I was pleasantly surprised how much people cared about us to donate money in return for getting special wine."
The recent construction of their cellar door - where they serve wine and wood-fired pizza - was fast paying off for the family business.
"We had more demand than we had production for, sangiovese, riesling, rose, pretty much all the wines. We opened a new Cellar Door a year and a half ago and that has really drawn a lot of people out and we have just been pumping through wine
He said most of the donors were a mystery.
"I'm not 100 per cent sure [who they are], we obviously had a lot of our friends, but the majority are fans of the wine I guess, people who I've never seen," Mr Crowe said.
