On Monday, Transport and City Services Minister Meegan Fitzharris will announce changes to the ACTION bus timetable, which will include new services in Canberra's growing suburbs and an extension of the Blue Rapid 300 services to Kippax.

Funding for the new services were announced in this year's budget.

"A key feature of the timetable will be significantly improved services for residents of Weston Creek and the rapidly growing Molonglo region," Ms Fitzharris said.

These include an all-day service between Woden, Cooleman Court and Civic via Cotter Road, an all-day service past the North Weston park and ride, and new services in Coombs.

West Belconnen residents will have quicker bus rides with the Blue Rapid 300 services extended to Kippax while services in Coombs will also be extended with a route to Woden and the city in peak times.

It will only take 15 minutes to get to the city from the North Weston park and ride, while those living in Crace will now have services transporting them directly to the city and Parliamentary Triangle during peak periods.

There will be minor changes to school services but parents and schools will be notified about them.

The new timetable commences on August 29 but will be announced on Monday to give Canberrans time to prepare.

Ms Fitzharris said the government was committed to improving public transport, regardless of where people lived.

"The new bus timetable features a range of changes people have asked for, including new routes and extended services to make bus travel more convenient, quick and reliable," she said.

"We want to improve public transport and encourage more people to use it, and we think these changes will make bus travel a really attractive option for many people."
