Police are investigating a string of more than 35 car break-ins across Canberra's north over the weekend.

Thieves targeted laptops, iPads, mobile phones, GPS, sunglasses, wallets and cash in the break-ins in Franklin, Harrison, Bonner, Ngunnawal, Forde and Gungahlin up until Sunday morning.
A witness described two offenders in Harrison as a man of Caucasian appearance and a woman of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander appearance about 35-years-old, driving a silver Ford Territory about 2am on Saturday May 2.
While most offenders gained entry to the vehicles by smashing windows, ACT Policing said some of the vehicles were left unlocked or with a window open.
The break-ins follow several similar incidents in Kambah on Thursday.
Police reminded residents to remove all valuables from their car and ensure their car was locked with windows closed before leaving it parked to avoid being a target of the "opportunistic" crime.
Police urged anyone who witnessed the incidents or any suspicious activity in the Gungahlin area on Saturday morning to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via act.crimestoppers.com.au.
