An accident involving an ACT Policing patrol car closed Northbourne Avenue near Barry Drive in Civic for over an hour on Wednesday.

An ACT Policing spokeswoman said the patrol car had been responding to an earlier reported incident when the two vehicles collided about 2.45pm.
Two patients were assessed for injuries at the scene of the crash by ACT Ambulance officers, according to an ACT Emergency Services Agency spokesman.
Police re-opened the area at about 4pm.
A second two-car collision also occured on Wednesday afternoon, with one car knocking down a light pole on a Gungahlin Drive ramp from Belconnen Drive.
The area was still closed as of 4.30pm and police have advised motorists to avoid the area.
