A 29-year-old Queanbeyan man has been refused bail over an alleged assault at Queanbeyan's Walsh's Hotel on August 9.

The man was arrested on Friday morning after presenting himself to Queanbeyan police station.
He appeared in Queanbeyan Local Court on Saturday charged with reckless grievous bodily harm in company, reckless grievous bodily harm, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of common assault, two counts of affray and one charge of causing grievous bodily harm to a person with intent. He was refused bail and is set to appear in court on Monday.
One of the alleged victims, a 40-year-old Queanbeyan man, suffered injuries including a broken jaw, impaired vision and missing teeth. He is in Canberra Hospital in a serious condition after suffering a stroke after the ''ferocious'' assault. The other alleged victim, a 40-year-old Jerrabomberra man, suffered a fractured elbow and needed stitches to his lip and head.
A man and woman were arrested last week in connection with the assault.
