Roads around Anzac Parade and Parked Way have been re-opened to traffic as of 5.15pm.
An ACT Policing spokeswoman said police were called to Majura Park just before 4pm to investigate reports of a black Holden car driving dangerously toward Pialligo.
Police found the car on Moreshead Drive and identified it as stolen. But when signalled to stop the driver accelerated.
Police chased the car along Parkes Way until it crashed into another car at the Anzac Parade intersection.
The man ran away from the crash site but was chased on foot.
The Anzac Parade and Parkes Way intersection was closed and eastbound traffic diverted while the car was removed.
Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or via act.crimestoppers.com.au.
