Police are investigating a suspicious fire at the abandoned Serbian Club in Mawson on Thursday night.

Around 7pm, large amounts of smoke were seen coming from the roof of the club, which has been closed since 2010.
By the time fire crews were able to extinguish the blaze, it had caused major damage.
Following an analysis of the scene, police said they believed the fire was deliberately lit and had deemed it suspicious.
The buildings have been closed since December 2010, when the Serbian club found rising maintenance costs, frequent break-ins and a lack of revenue too difficult to keep the facility open.
It has since become the target of vandalism, looting and graffiti.
In October last year, some members of the club along with the Orthodox church launched a plan to redevelop the facility.
Detectives and AFP Forensic Services are now investigating the circumstances surrounding Thursday's fire.
