Police are investigating a fire that destroyed a car in Canberra's inner south on Sunday afternoon.
ACT Fire and Rescue firefighters rushed to the scene on Monaro Crescent in Red Hill about 2.40pm.
The car, an older model Subaru Liberty, was completely engulfed, and the smoke was visible in surrounding areas.
Firefighters managed to quickly extinguish the blaze and soon left the scene.
The fire was handed to ACT Policing to investigate.
Police said on Sunday they were looking at whether the car was stolen.
Sunday marked 12 years since the 2003 Canberra bushfire disaster, which destroyed hundreds of homes and killed four.
