Thieves reversed a car into the United Petrol Station in Amaroo around 10.30pm on Sunday, in what ACT Policing believe was an unsuccessful attempt to steal an ATM.
About an hour later, police were called to Yowani Country Club in Lyneham after security noticed damage to the front entrance of the club.
CCTV footage showed a dark coloured station wagon reverse several times into the front doors. A person then got out of the vehicle and approached the ATM before returning to the car and driving away.
The incidents come a week after vandals smashed their way into the Black Pepper Café on Beissel Street and stole an onsite ATM.
Owner Ali Parvizi told Fairfax Media that vandals had entered his café by breaking a window around 1am, before chaining the ATM located just inside the door to a vehicle and driving off.
He said he would not be reinstalling the ATM, which was only fitted several months ago.
ACT Policing said two men had been seen driving a late model white station wagon in the area shortly before the incident.
