Police say an altercation broke out between two men on the dance floor around 2.25am.

The offender stayed at the nightclub for several minutes after the assault before leaving with a group of people.

Police have described the man as being Caucasian in appearance, aged in his 20s with dark hair, a medium build and around 180cm tall.

Police have obtained CCTV images of the alleged offender and each member of the group with whom he left.
