Shortly after 1am, police and firefighters found a Mitsubishi Lancer sedan ablaze at a car park at 63 Molonglo Street, Queanbeyan East.

Hours later, around 3am, they were called to attend to a Hyundai sedan alight at a block of units at 12 King Street, Crestwood.

The fire destroyed the sedan, damaged the cars on either side and caused significant damage to the carport.

A Ford utility was then found in flames a block away in a carpark at 11 McKeanhie Street Crestwood around 4.40am.

Firefighters were able to extinguish all three fires before they spread.

Queanbeyan Detectives and Forensic Police are investigating and are calling an anyone who may have knowledge of anyone who could have started the fires to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
