Police seek public's help to identify men over Braddon assault

ACT Policing have launched a public appeal for help to identify four men in relation to investigations into an alleged assault in Braddon where a man was knocked unconscious and a woman assaulted. 

The Regional Targeting Team wants to identify four men who may be able to assist  their investigation into the assault in the early hours of last Sunday, November 23. 

The four men are believed to have gone to Hopscotch Bar on Saturday evening where they were involved in a "disturbance", police said.

Two of the men left the bar, but at about 1am, they were involved in an alleged assault near the corner of Lonsdale and Elouera Streets where a man and a woman were allegedly assaulted.

Police said the pair allegedly harassed the woman after she asked one of them about his injured leg as he was wearing a leg brace.  

"Her partner attempted to stop the harassment however was punched repeatedly by the man in the leg brace. The second offender then assaulted the woman where she fell to the ground," a police statement said. 


The male victim was bleeding and unconscious when officers arrived at the scene. 

One of the alleged offenders is described as caucasian with blond hair and was wearing a navy blue top and full leg brace on his right leg. 

The second alleged offender is caucasian in appearance, about 173cm (5'8") tall with brown hair. He was wearing a white singlet.
