Long-serving Labor minister Simon Corbell has held on to his Molonglo seat by about 1500 votes over Labor candidate Meegan Fitzharris, last night's penultimate count of preferences show.

The count also shows Canberra Liberals incumbent Steve Doszpot is now ahead of Liberal Elizabeth Lee by about 900 votes and will claim the seat.
With just 1000 votes left to be counted today, the Greens have been all but wiped out of the Assembly, with ACT Labor and the Canberra Liberals each claiming eight seats.
Shane Rattenbury is 235 votes in front of Caroline Le Couteur for the sole Greens seat in the Assembly. Greens leader Meredith Hunter has lost her seat in Ginninderra to ACT Labor after falling 900 votes behind Chris Bourke and Yvette Berry. In Brindabella, Canberra Liberals candidate Andrew Wall has claimed the fifth seat by 2300 votes from Greens MLA Amanda Bresnan.
Electoral commissioner Phil Green said there were 700 to 1000 postal votes and declarations left to count today.
The Liberals were leading the primary count by 42 votes. Earlier this week, Canberra Liberal leader Zed Seselja said the primary count vote proved Labor had no claim to government.
