It was a quiet weekend for auctions as Canberrans made the most of the Queen’s Birthday holiday and left the city.

Just 15 auctions were held on Saturday.
While a number of properties were passed in there were some strong sales results throughout the territory.
A three-bedroom home in original condition on a large corner block in Weetangera sold under the hammer for $620,000 on Saturday morning.
There were eight registered bidders for the home at 33 Belconnen Way, which represented an opportunity for development as it fell within RZ2 zoning.
Ian McNamee and Partners Queanbeyan agent Larry Eckhoff said there had been interest in the home from developers, investors and also families looking for a solid home.
The property, which was an ex-AV Jennings display home, was on a block of 1126 square metres and was close to public transport, schools and Westfield Belconnen.
"It's a big block and the development zone had some appeal as well," Mr Eckhoff said.
Auctioneer Darren Bennett called for opening bids on the property and an offer of $450,000 was placed.
Bids were made in quick succession for increments of $10,000 until the home reached $610,000 and a $5000 bid was placed.
The home went to the next bid of $620,000.
Mr Bennett said it was a solid result for what was a popular part of Belconnen.
He said there had been about 40 groups through the home during the auction campaign.
The highest sale on the day was for a four-bedroom 1950s home in leafy Turner.
The home at 66 David Street featured an original section with picture rails, solid timber door jambs, timber sash windows and a kitchen that still has a two way box for the milkman.
It was offered to the market as a great platform for an extension, a dual income opportunity with the separate flat, or a blank slate for a new home.
It sold under the hammer for $901,000 through Bertram Ellis agent Tom Ellis.
