Police chased a car eight kilometres through southern Tuggeranong on Saturday night, then used tyre deflation devices to bring it to a halt. A police patrol spotted the car without registration plates driving erratically at 9.40pm on Saturday and attempted to get it to pull over. The driver ignored police. Three young men ran from the car when it stopped on Johnson Drive, Isabella Plains, and police hope witnesses will help find them. The car was a metallic blue VE Commodore sedan with rear sections painted in grey primer and some patches of metallic purple.

Cyclist critical
A cyclist injured in a collision at Wanniassa on Saturday morning remained in a critical condition at the Canberra Hospital yesterday. The 59-year-old Macarthur man was at the roundabout at the intersection of Sternberg Crescent and Erindale Drive when the incident occurred. Witnesses who have not yet spoken to police are urged to call Crime Stoppers.
Rebels leave ACT
Police escorted members of the Rebels Motorcycle Club into NSW at about 10.30am yesterday, ending a short visit to Canberra. More than 500 motorcyclists arrived on Saturday as part of the club's annual national run. An ACT Policing spokesperson said there had been some minor incidents involving a few of the motorcyclists on Saturday night, but nothing related to their association with the club.
