A teenage girl with suspected spinal injuries has been rushed to hospital after being cut from the wreckage of a racing car in Majura earlier today.
Emergency services were called to the Majura Speedway on Pialligo Avenue, where they found a 16-year-old girl trapped in the car around 11.15am.

Firefighters had to cut the protective cage and roll bar of the vehicle to free her.
Intensive care paramedics stablised her before rushing the teenager, who was in a serious condition with suspected spinal injuries, to The Canberra Hospital.
