Sullings resigned on Thursday to move to ActewAGL as its senior sponsorship and events officer.
Sullings had a 12-year stint across both 104.7 and MIX 106.3.
Most recently he was presenting afternoons from 1pm to 3pm on MIX 106.3 but hadn't been on air for several weeks, instead working as a producer in the breakfast slot.
Other announcers had had to extended their shifts to make up the difference.
Canberra FM Radio general manager Eoghan O'Byrne said Sullings had been a fine ambassador for the station.
He wished him all the best in his new role after 20 years in the broadcasting industry.
Sullings has been a breakfast announcer, hosted the Balls 'n' All Sports & Leisure show, and and worked as a daytime announcer.
He'll continue his role with the weekly Balls 'n' All show.
Sullings thanked his former colleagues and said he would look forward to ''a few client lunches, just on the other side of the table''.
O'Byrne said there was no word on a replacement.
Wiggle appeal spans the generations
The toddlers went wild for the Wiggles as the original foursome farewelled Canberra this week, but perhaps the most enthusiastic audience members were two 19-year-old blokes in the front row at the 10am show.
They were Ben Thornton, a childcare assistant at the Bungendore Kids Zone Child Care Centre, and his mate,Mitch Lefebvre, who is studying childcare at the Canberra Institute of Technology. A grateful mum contacted the Wiggles directly to ask if Ben could attend the concert as a thank you to him for being such a great carer for the kids at Bungendore.
The Wiggles confirmed the boys were at the concert as their invited guests at the concert at the AIS Arena.
Mitch and Ben sang and danced to every song with great enthusiasm - and even got to meet the Wiggles.
''It was really cool,'' Ben said.
Mitch loved it too.
''I thought it was amazing, it was so good,'' he said. ''I loved how the children at the end were getting up and dancing with me and Ben rather than the actual Wiggles.''
In the market for a trace of whimsy
One of the new designers at this weekend's Handmade Christmas Market is The Canberra Times' very own Juliette Dudley, one of the small but talented team of graphic designers at the newspaper.
The 27-year-old puts her whimsical designs by hand on items including plates and screen-printed tea towels.
The market will this time be over two levels of the National Convention Centre, with more than 170 stalls. The opening hours are Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 4pm.
Boaters of all kinds on the lake
The inaugural Burley Griffin Regatta takes place on Lake Burley Griffin today, with Australia's Next Top Modeljudge Charlotte Dawson to select the best-dressed male and female, with boater hats and soft, floaty frocks set to dominate among the Pimm's and lemonade.
Dawson was asked to take part in the festivities by fellow Kiwi, former New Zealand cricketer Chris Cairns, and his wife Melanie who have organised the event.
Rowers, dragon boaters and kayakers will compete for the Burley Griffin Cup while the well-dressed spectators enjoy a tipple or two from marquees overlooking the Cental Basin.
Dawson told us it was her first regatta and she was excited about the fashion potential.
''I'm sort of envisaging the races, but with a flat shoe,'' she said. ''Something summery and flowery and flowing. Soft and pretty - a garden party.''
And the blokes won't go wrong with boater, bow-tie and blazer.
Dawson will be attending the regatta with Jo Thornely who co-wrote Dawson's memoir Air Kiss and Tell.
''I'm really looking forward to it,'' she said. ''I don't get to come to Canberra that much, I'm usually in and out but this time I can stay the night and I get to relax and socialise.''
Dawson said she was back on track after being hospitalised in August when she was subjected to a torrent of abuse on Twitter. She was addressing her first school yesterday for Angel's Goal, an anti-bullying organisation. And she has thrown herself back into work, with the next series of Australia's Next Top Model being filmed from early next year with new host Jennifer Hawkins.
''I think she'll be fantastic,'' she said. ''I think the real quality about Jennifer is that she wasn't a model to start her career but she proves that the gorgeous girl-next-door can carve out a huge, successful career if you really want it.''

Twelfth night for Luka
McKellar schoolboy Luka Brucic turns 12 on Wednesday - otherwise known as 12/12/12. He'll be performing in his school play at Holy Spirit Nicholls on his birthday so will celebrate on Sunday with a bit of go karting. His mother Mary remembers one or two others babies being born on the same day, same hospital, as Luka and suspects at least a couple of other 12-year-olds in Canberra will be celebrating also.
Activist rewarded for promoting multicultural ties
Community activist Deepak Raj Gupta has received the ACT Multicultural Advocate of the Year 2012 award for his efforts in promoting Australia-India relations in Canberra.
Raj Gupta, who is president of the Australia India Business Council, received the award from Multicultural Affairs Minister Joy Burch.

Bears and bikes are ready to run
Watch out for bikers ferrying teddy bears today - the annual ACT and Region Motorcyclists' Toy Run is on, starting at Old Parliament House at 10am.
The run supports St John's Care and the Salvation Army. Riders are asked to bring toys, games, cash and non-perishable food for the needy.
Among those participating for the first time will be 15 officers from the Department of Immigration and Citizenship. They'll be riding everything from a Harley-Davidson to a pink Vespa.
''Our team is looking to contribute as much as it can, and when we're giving toys that go to kids we'll feel a bit like Santa in the process,'' team organiser Phil Thurbon said.
Hyperdome opening
A redevelopment at the Tuggeranong Hyperdome costing more than $20 million has been opened by Canberra MP Gai Brodtmann. Also present at the opening this week was Robert Ell, the managing director of the Leda property group, which owns the Hyperdome with the Centro Properties Group. Mr Ell's father Bob, who built the Hyperdome in 1987, was also present. The redevelopment includes a new Big W and JB Hi-Fi, and larger versions of various shops.
