Emergency crews were called to the scene at Barry Drive near Clunies Ross Street in Acton just before 8.30am, following a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle.
An ESA spokesman said a 19-year-old man had been transported to the Canberra Hospital in a serious condition following the accident, which caused the closure of Barry Drive’s city bound lanes.
City bound traffic was previously diverted along Fairfax Street, however all roads have since been reopened.
