A motorcyclist is in a critical condition at The Canberra Hospital after he was involved in a crash on Cotter Road near the Tuggeranong Parkway on Wednesday morning.
The man was treated by intensive care paramedics for multiple injuries at the scene of the crash. The Tuggeranong Parkway exit ramp was closed by ACT Policing around 7am and remains closed to traffic.
And Gundaroo Drive in Gungahlin is closed in both directions from Ginn Street to Gungahlin Drive after a collision around 9.15am. Police are advising motorsits to stay clear of the area.
Wednesday morning's accidents follow a nightmare five-hour stretch on Tuesday night, with six crashes leaving three Canberrans in hospital with minor injuries.
The first crash was a five-car collision on Tuggeranong Parkway at about 5.30pm, which left parts of the road blocked for up to three hours.
Just half an hour later there was a single-vehicle accident on Maxworthy Street in Kambah, where a spokesman for ACT Policing said a car drove into a resident's front yard.
One man was taken to Canberra Hospital with minor injuries as a result of the crash.
In Canberra's north, a car was left on its side after a single-vehicle accident on Caswell Drive near the Glenloch Interchange at about 7.45pm.
Firefighters had to drain the fuel from the car before it could be righted and removed from the road.
A fourth crash on Tharwa Drive in Conder at about 8.15pm left police waiting for ActewAGL crews to remove a large power pole from the road.
No one was injured as a result of the accident and traffic continued to flow normally.
Another car accident occurred at about 10.15pm on Tuesday night on William Slim Drive in McKellar and police and paramedics attended the scene.
Two people were taken to Calvary Hospital with minor seatbelt injuries as a result of the crash.
Finally there was an accident at Kowen Forest just after 11pm, which left the car on its roof and the occupant with minor injuries.
Up to 3.4mm of rain fell across the capital on Tuesday, with most of it falling in the afternoon and the evening.
