John Telek, 43, was driving on Flemington Road in Franklin on January 2 when he was caught driving whilst disqualified and with a blood-alcohol reading of 0.09.
He faced court on Saturday morning and applied for bail but it was refused by Magistrate Peter Morrison.
He had appeared in court twice before in 2014 over two previous drink-driving offences, once in May when he registered a blood-alcohol reading of 0.24 and again in October when he registered 0.203.
He was already on bail for both offences.
Mr Telek plead guilty at the hearing on Saturday, saying he was prepared to have his car taken away from him if it meant he could get bail.
The public defender said Mr Telek had started seeing a counsellor recently or additional support.
Magistrate Morrison said he was convinced there was a likelihood the defendant would reoffend if he was released and refused bail.
Mr Telek will face court again on all three charges on February 11.
