It spectacularly spreads over almost half the land area (46 per cent) of the ACT. Yet I'm constantly amazed at the number of Canberrans who have never set foot in Namadgi National Park. These low levels of visitation are disappointing because so many people are unaware of its treasure chest of natural jewels. But it's also fortunate because it means the park is not over-crowded - you only need to venture five minutes down a track to get the feeling you have an entire national park to yourself.
