Leader Zed Seselja said he has signed off on about 15 commitments for official costing by the Treasury, but as of yesterday afternoon none had appeared on the directorate's website.

ACT Labor and the ACT Greens, which have submitted close to 100 policies, called the move a ''tokenistic'' and last minute gesture and Treasurer Andrew Barr accused the Liberals of deliberately trying to ''escape any scrutiny''.

The Treasury estimates that costing each election commitment submitted by the parties takes five business days.

Mr Seselja said yesterday he still had concerns about the confidentiality of the Treasury process.

''We're still seeking that answer from Treasury about how they will make sure that we don't see the kind of leaks in the process that we've seen in recent weeks,'' he said.

''I've signed off on a number of policies to go to Treasury today … I don't know the exact number but I would anticipate that it would be in the order of about 15 policies. We'll be putting more in but we'll be working through that process.''

Mr Barr said the legislation on election costings that was agreed to by the three parties did not allow Treasury to discuss the process with anyone but the party making the submission. ''To do anything else is to breach the law,'' he said.

Mr Barr said the Liberals were simply trying to escape scrutiny of their election commitments.

''With only seven working days left before the election, and it takes five days for Treasury to turn costings around, it leaves a very short amount of time for scrutiny,'' he said. ''This would tend to indicate they're not going to put in all the election commitments for costing and they've got something to hide.''

ACT Greens Leader Meredith Hunteralso had concerns about the Liberals. ''It's an important process,'' she said. ''But we're 10 days out from the election and the Canberra Liberals haven't lodged one.

''It just keeps Canberra voters in the dark about whether they are being fiscally responsible.''
