The $15 million, four-storey, 4800 square metre building will host GPs, a pharmacy, pathology labs, radiology, psychology and the university's allied health clinics.
Federal Health Minister Tanya Plibersek, ACT Chief Minister Katy Gallagher and Federal MP Andrew Leigh attended a ceremonial sod turning on Monday morning.
Ochre Health will manage the clinic. The company's chief executive, John Burns, said the partnership with the UC would involve new research opportunities and placements for students.
