Daniele Alaimo this afternoon in the ACT Magistrates Court maintained his pleas of not guilty to 14 charges of committing acts of indecency in the presence of the alleged victims.
The charges relate to 13 unidentified females and a 17-year-old girl who allegedly found Alaimo trying to film her with his mobile under a partition in the Canberra Centre's Cotton On store.
Police allege a subsequent search of the 25-year-old's phone and computer revealed a number of other incriminating videos leading to new charges being laid.
Today the court heard Alaimo himself can be seen in some videos allegedly taken with his phone placed in a shopping basket.
The charges relate to alleged incidents between April and July this year, with each charge relating to a specific victim and multiple allegations relating to specific days.
Magistrate Peter Dingwall today said he was satisfied there was a prima facie case to answer, and committed the matter for trial in the ACT Supreme Court.
Alaimo, who requires a translator during court proceedings, is due to make his first appearance in the territory's higher court later this month.
He remains on bail.
In the meantime questions remain about his residency status, with his working visa set to expire in a matter of days.
Alaimo is yet to obtain a criminal justice visa.
