Canberrans will get a glimpse into the culture of around 50 embassies and high commissions over the four weekends of Floriade as Windows to the World returns.

It was launched as part of Canberra's Centenary celebrations in 2013 but will now open its doors every two years due to popular demand, ACT Chief Minister Andrew Barr announced.
New diplomatic missions taking part include Peru, the Solomon Islands and Croatia. On the opening weekend of Saturday September 19, there will be open days from Argentina and Brazil, Belarus, Canada, the European Union, Finland, France, Japan, Malaysia, Norway, Spain and the Netherlands.
The High Commission of Malaysia's 2013 exhibition saw thousands of guests and this year will showcase traditional foods, cultural performances, martial arts, traditional games as well as historical, painting and wedding exhibitions.
"I hope it will be an eye opener to many," Malaysian High Commissioner Dato' Zainal Abidin Ahmad said.
"Certainly it will also contribute to the tourism industry in Canberra as well as making the city more vibrant... In 2013 we managed to attract around 7000 visitors which went way beyond expectations."
On September 22 the Korean Embassy will unveil its Korean Fashion Show, with top models wearing traditional silk and colourful clothing accompanied by music and dances.
A few days later the Solomon Islands High Commission will provide three tours of the mission and residences, a cultural display of arts and cooking and tourism and trade displays.
The Embassy of the Republic of Croatia will showcase an exhibition on robotics in problem-solving situations, emergency rescue operations and coastal-guard systems.
Mr Barr said they are already lobbying to make it an annual event.
"We had some discussions with the diplomatic community about their willingness to participate again and there was a really strong level of support so we were really pleased to bring this event back."
"I think aligning it with the Floriade season will ensure maximum level of tourism exposure and participation... it's a really positive event that's unique to Canberra and one that should be supported."
With more than 35,000 people attending the 2013 Windows to the World, he hopes it will someday stand alone as a tourism drawcard and remain an "ongoing legacy".
Canberra hosts more than 100 embassies and high commissions from more than 170 countries.
