Giants chief executive Dave Matthews has ruled out a move to follow Port Adelaide and Gold Coast into China in the coming AFL seasons after GWS received a blockbuster 2017 fixture on Thursday.

Next year's premiership favourites have been handed three Friday night games including a round-six showpiece against the Western Bulldogs in a replay of this year's preliminary final.
But 2016 success has come at a price with the Giants drawn to play twice against last year's other top-two finishers in Sydney and Geelong, and the reigning premier Bulldogs.
Port Adelaide and Gold Coast clash in a historic round-eight contest in Shanghai next year and while delighted the competition was spreading to new international frontiers, Matthews said Chinese expansion wasn't a major priority for his team.
"Not really, not at this stage," Matthews said.
"Our priority and our focus is winning the hearts and minds of people in Sydney and Canberra. We're more than comfortable just focusing on that for now.
"I absolutely applaud the AFL for doing it, regardless of who the opponents are. I think it's very important that the AFL competition spreads its wings and plays games for premiership points offshore.
"I don't think they [the AFL] are very good at playing friendlies – exhibition games aren't our product at its absolute best. I'm glad to see there's a four-point game."
The Giants and Swans clash twice again next year, starting with a round-five showdown at the SCG – the first Sydney derby since GWS won the qualifying final last month by six goals.
Sydney will play eight Friday night games in 2017, more than any other team, and eight games in Victoria – the most since 1996.
The Swans also have two games against the Bulldogs, with a round-two grand-final rematch at Etihad Stadium already looming large on the horizon.
In another development for 2017, the Bulldogs will play a game against Port Adelaide in Ballarat for premiership points as part of the club's recent partnership with the Victorian state government and the city to bring league football to town.
The Ballarat game is set to become a permanent part of the fixture with interstate opponents the likely target each year, but Matthews said the Giants had no desire to play a premiership game in country Victoria.
"We don't have any interest at all in playing a game in a place like Ballarat," Matthews said.
"When we go to Victoria we want to be on the MCG or Etihad and I think the fact that 3.6 million watched the Giants-Western Bulldogs preliminary final is the very reason why we've got a Friday night game against the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium.
"It's a great chance for the players and fans, it feels like a renewal every time that fixture comes out.
"You can get it into your calendar and plan your year, we're really excited about the opportunity."
Meanwhile, Xavier Richards has been delisted by the Swans after failing to secure a move elsewhere during the trade period.
Richards, Jack Hiscox and Abaina Davis have been told their contracts will not be renewed.
