He's the latest in an expanding list of talented Swans to commit their long-term future to Sydney, and now forward Sam Reid is hoping to run out his AFL career as a one-club player.

The 25-year-old fended off interest from Melbourne suitors to pen a four-year contract extension on Monday which keeps him at Sydney until at least 2021, and leaves veteran Jarrad McVeigh as the only Swans regular unsigned beyond 2017.
Reid failed to play a single game through injury in 2016 but has proven his worth this season having missed just two matches, and featuring in all but one of Sydney's 11 wins.
He joins the likes of Lance Franklin, Luke Parker, Isaac Heeney, Josh Kennedy and Callum Mills to be contracted with the Swans until next decade.
"I've said from the start that I wanted to stay up here and this year for me was really just about playing footy and being able to stay fit given last year I didn't get a game," Reid said.
"There's no real reason why I would like to leave here. My soon-to-be wife is from up here, she's got a really close-knit family that have been very accepting of me from day one.
"My parents get up here pretty much every second week to watch me as well. I'm not missing out on too much being up here, I've got a few mates down in Melbourne but in terms of the lifestyle, and the weather ... it's really good and I've just grown to love it over the past eight years.
"You don't have to worry about picking up a paper and seeing the footy front and back, and there won't be 45 minutes of AFL on the TV. If you do want to escape from footy for an afternoon it's a lot easier to do [so] living in Sydney."
Reid has always been held in high esteem by Swans coaching staff, despite his injury-interrupted career.
His 24 goals this season have shown just how dangerous he is as a second marking target up forward alongside Franklin, but it's his ability to play as a key defender down back when required that has at times proven crucial in turning 2017 around for the Swans.
Sydney's 0-6 start is barely a distant memory now, and Friday night's thumping of Geelong was the 11th victory in 13 games, wins which have propelled the club to sixth on the AFL ladder.
His two goals were handy, but it was Reid's job as an extra tall down back that really helped stifle Geelong's forward line.
"That'll probably continue throughout my career, a bit like LRT [Lewis Roberts-Thomson] did for us late," Reid said.
"The idea is I am a forward but with that ability that if one of our bigs goes down, then I'm able to go back and play as a defender, or I'm able to go back as a spare and halt a bit of opposition momentum which is what we did on the weekend.
"Having a bit of flexibility is a handy thing to have."
Sydney are close to securing a 19th finals finish from the past 22 seasons, with home games against lowly Fremantle and Carlton still to come.
A top-four finish is still a faint possibility, but that would require beating the ladder-leading Crows in Adelaide in two weeks, plus other results falling their way.
"We're really confident, the last three months has shown that if we play our best footy we can pretty much match it with every side," Reid said.
"The last three games are really important and we can't look too far ahead, obviously, because it's been a funny old year, and you pretty much can't pick a winner.
"Geelong at Geelong is one of the hardest trips in footy, and we follow that up in two weeks with another one of the hardest trips in Adelaide at Adelaide Oval, to go with Fremantle and Carlton at home.
"Carlton have knocked us off earlier in the year and Fremantle have been going okay, so we just have to keep showing up and playing our brand of footy, and make sure we get the wins."
