Arsonists have set fire to a shed at Woden Athletics Park, causing hundreds of thousands of dollars damage and forcing the cancellation of an athletics meet on Saturday.
The Woden athletics community is dumbfounded by the blaze that has come just before the start of the season.
The fire caused $200,000 damage to the shed that housed the sporting equipment of five different community groups.

Canberrans among highest consumers of deadly drug
Canberra had the equal highest reading for the deadly drug fentanyl of any capital city in Australia according to wastewater testing results released by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission.
Fentanyl, which is a type of opioid, is prescribed to cancer sufferers in extreme pain, along with people with nerve damage and other severe injuries.
It is also consumed as a recreational drug.

Law changes threaten to make rape trials more combative
The ACT Law Society has warned changes to sexual consent laws in Canberra threaten to make rape trials more aggressive.
Greens crossbencher Caroline Le Couteur wants to introduce laws that would require the accused to prove they knew or were satisfied on reasonable grounds that consent was freely given.
