The revolving house at 12 Indi Close, Crace, which sold on Thursday, could be repeated in one of the ACT's inner suburbs.

The home, which can turn the full 360 degrees in 10 minutes, was bought by Canberra couple Anna and Phillip Burroughs for $1.2 million.

Ms Burroughs said the couple had been looking for the perfect home to downsize into and had fallen in love with the property at first sight.

''We know it's the right home. We've been looking for quite some time,'' she said.

''The idea of following the sun, especially at this time of year, is going to be very exciting.''

The Burroughs will have the distinction of being the owners of the only home of its kind in the ACT - for now.

The builder behind the design says he is considering constructing another one closer to the city centre.

John Andriolo said that, while his wife was not so keen, he planned to build another rotating house ''subject to his health''.

He said the house had cost about $900,000 to build but he thought it could be repeated elsewhere for $800,000 to $900,000.

The architect for the project, Ross Norwood, from DNA Architects, said that the concept could be recreated in other areas as long as the blocks were wide enough.

He said the hard part had been working the mechanics and design out the first time and any subsequent builds were likely to work out cheaper.
