Water and sunlight's natural works of art can form in an instant, or over hundreds of years. A black and orange storm-streaked sunset appears in minutes, a deep, dark green valley edged with pale blue hills unfolds over centuries. One such century has passed, marked by industrial and artistic intervention, beginning with Canberra's first public building, the Kingston Powerhouse which, 100 years later, stands transformed as Canberra Glassworks.
