Overseas kudos for local artist
, an international Moments Passed. "The installation evokes a recollection of the past, and it was highly praised by the jury. It is an outstandingly detailed work, with a feeling of close contact, capturing a distant memory and a return to the past. At first sight the objects look like pebbles but they are highly-worked pieces of glass, 'almost like talismans'." Hellsing was the only finalist from Australia and there were 39 finalists included in the exhibition this year. Her work will be exhibited with other shortlisted candidates in the gallery Art Salon S in the Dancing House, in Prague, until December 14, if you feel like popping in.
