Canberra, long maligned as home to stitched-up, cardigan-wearing public servants, has just upped its sexy credentials.

The national capital can claim three of the Who magazine's compilation of the sexiest people for 2013.

Former Narrabundah College student Timomatic, St Edmund's College old boy Matt Le Nevez and WIN-TV Canberra alumnus and Snowy Mountains girl Samantha Armytage all scored a guernsey in the steamy annual edition.

Strangely, none attribute their sexiness to their time spent in the ACT, but we're sure they were all thinking it.

Canberra-born Le Nevez, who sent the nation into mourning when his character Dr Patrick Reid was killed off in the TV show Offspring, told Who his fans have shown their appreciation in myriad ways, including two requests for his.....sperm.

The down-to-earth Kambah boy reckons sexiness is also about the mind.

"There's something sexy about the way someone sees the world and how they develop wisdom," he told Who.

Sunrise host Armytage, 37, nominates older men such as Bill Clinton and George Clooney as sexy.

"Power is sexy! And I love a bit of salt-and-pepper," she said.

And singer/dancer/TV host Timomatic, reckons he has a kind of split-personality sexiness when on stage.

"I call it the Superman complex. I think there's Clark Kent and there's Superman, and they're both equal parts of me and I can switch them on. You know, you can switch on your sexy!" he told the mag.

He nominates girlfriend Talia Fowler, winner of 2009's So You Think You Can Dance, as the person who rocks his world.

"She is classically sexy – Audrey Hepburn sexy, classy," he told the mag.
