HOLIDAYS ON ICEThe Luxury of Wasted SpaceCloudy But Fine★★★★

I get an email every day that showcases expert artisan designers doing immaculate work in their kitschy studios. I love the shapes, colours, the attention to detail. If it is possible to have an artisan designer in the field of music, and of course I think you can, then Holidays on Ice qualify. Recorded on an eight track reel-to-reel, using a minimalist, often looped pallet (that on different songs includes guitars, synthesiser, omnichord, cello, organ, drums, voice), each song is crafted and part of a stylistic whole. By Angie Hart of Frente, Dean Manning of Leonardo's Bride and Stella Mozgawa of Warpaint, just like those expert artisan designers, Holidays on Ice know how to make work you want to own.
