And these school holidays, visitors can get to see its workings in more detail than usual.
The clinic, located in The Sanctuary, the large wetlands area protected by a predator-proof fence, already has big windows through which visitors can watch vet Dr Arianne Lowe work every Thursday morning.
The special feature these school holidays is that Dr Ari, as she is known, has been "mic-ed up'', fitted with a microphone so she can also talk to the visitors watching from outside and explain to them what she is doing.
The first special clinic was held on Thursday and the next is Thursday, April 26 from 10.30am to 11am.
Tidbinbilla senior wildlife officer Dr Jenny Pierson said the vet clinic would be performing annual health checks of brush-tailed rock-wallabies.
Dr Ari looked at the animal's pouch, teeth, feet as well as eyes and ears, looking for cuts or infections. She also monitored the wallaby's heartbeat.
No bookings are required and there is no cost to watch the vet clinic at work.
